City Place
A 2,000-acre Mixed-Use Master Planned Community home to several Fortune 500 corporate campuses, including ExxonMobil’s and Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s global headquarters.

Developer: CDC Houston, Inc
Client Since: 2014
Assignment
The Broadband Group oversees all aspects of planning for the deployment of wired and wireless broadband infrastructure at City Place - including the integration of outdoor Wi-Fi at City Place Plaza - the activated heart of the community. With TBG’s strategic guidance, City Place is now served by six (6) fiber broadband providers, introducing a level of competition that is rarely seen in the broadband industry.
As the development matures, wired and wireless infrastructure will continue to be purposefully designed to incorporate future technology-enabled applications while maintaining a strict focus on the development’s carefully planned identity and aesthetic design.
Achievements
Facilitated the sale of developer-owned conduit to six fiber broadband providers, enabling robust, competitive service offerings for businesses, multifamily residences, healthcare facilities, and cell towers within the development.
Planned and implemented a high-density outdoor WiFi network that activated the vibrant City Place Plaza, enabling employees to work outdoors and allowing visitors to enjoy reliable, high performance connectivity throughout the space.
