Assignment

The Broadband Group (TBG) was engaged to advance a comprehensive Technology Master Plan™ that aligns with Hillwood’s developer-led approach to long-term value creation. This includes the planning and deployment of future-ready wired and wireless networks to support smart city use cases, strategic land positioning, and evolving tenant and resident expectations.

To guide infrastructure investment, TBG has advised Hillwood on joint venture proposals from leading fiber providers—delivering financial, operational, and strategic analysis. TBG also conducted a field-based inventory of regional fiber assets to help position AllianceTexas for continued data center growth, identifying diverse fiber routes and rights-of-way to support low-latency connectivity and competitive service options.

In support of expanding cellular coverage and capacity, TBG has led the development of a wireless infrastructure strategy, structured Master Lease Agreements with national wireless carriers, and guided the formation of a Hillwood-owned entity to develop and manage cell towers across the AllianceTexas footprint—enabling faster deployment, long-term revenue, and greater control over coverage and design.

TBG also provides detailed guidance on joint trench specifications and the proactive planning of competitive access conduit.
