North Huntsville Can Start Signing Up for Google Fiber

August 25, 2017

Today, Google Fiber announced the beginning of services for residents in Huntsville, Alabama.  Google Fiber is the Anchor Tenant on the Huntsville Utilities Fiber Network.

Tasked with the process of managing the construction and operation of the network, Huntsville Utilities has engaged TBG Network Services (TBGNS), a wholly owned subsidiary of TBG, to oversee this construction management process. Google Fiber will lease access on the network to provide gigabit Internet services to residents and businesses.

“Google Fiber is leasing unused fiber from Huntsville Utilities, which has been laying down the infrastructure across the city.  Internet plans will be offered for $50 to $70 a month, and Internet and TV bundles will run from $140 to $160 a month, according to information provided by Google. Phone service can be added to any plan for $10 a month.”
