Senior Vice President of Network Operations
Roger Wilson, Senior Vice President of Network Operations, has been involved in telecom deployments and operations for over 20 years. Prior to 1995, Roger served as an officer in the United States Army, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel after 23 years.
Mr. Wilson is recognized as an experienced and seasoned executive, with over 40 years of leadership experience in both the military and telecommunications industry.
Over the last 21 years, Roger has lead three national network deployment roll outs including both wireline and wireless broadband technologies.
As Turf Director for Black & Veatch, he was responsible for the building and upgrading of AT&T’s wireless network in five states and over 1,000 sites per year.
Roger managed turnkey wireless and wireline deployments for the past five years, supporting Tier 1 carriers (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and others), as well as Tier 2 turf vendors (Black & Veatch, Wes Tower, General Dynamics, and others). This experience has provided a unique management perspective on providing network services that exceed expectations.
Mr. Wilson is currently leading the Huntsville Utility (Huntsville, Alabama) fiber network expansion, with Google Fiber serving as the network’s Anchor Tenant.
